Showcasing 29 First American Artists
Collective Wisdom brings together thirty-four First American artists in a dynamic exhibition centered on collaboration, community, and cultural exchange. Each work represents a unique partnership between two or more artists who contribute their own mediums, perspectives, and creative practices to a shared artistic vision.
Developed through reciprocal processes of dialogue, exchange, and trust, some works were created collaboratively from conception, while others evolved as they passed from artist to artist, each adding their own aesthetic, cultural references, and lived experiences. The resulting collection reflects the richness and diversity of contemporary First American art while emphasizing the relationships that make these works possible.
Rooted in Indigenous traditions of community and shared knowledge, Collective Wisdom explores how culture, experience, and connection shape creative expression. Through visual dialogue and cultural metaphor, the exhibition celebrates the collective nature of Indigenous creativity, demonstrating how tradition and innovation continue to walk together into the future.
