Colleen Stiles

Colleen Stiles’ illustrative pen and ink works depict a conceptual

interpretation of reality infused with fantasy, focusing on the interplay

of humans, animals and their environments. Not limited to pen and ink,

Stiles works in a variety of mediums. “My artistic journey continues to

be a perpetual exploration of mediums,” Stiles said, “from traditional

two-dimensional mediums to ceramics and sculpture, I embrace the

ever-evolving landscape of artistic expression, constantly pushing

myself to grow as an artist.”

Stiles is a graphic designer and artist from Tulsa, OK. She uses pen and ink, graphite and watercolor to create detailed, illustrative drawings incorporating an appreciation of nature and wildlife. Her three dimensional works, expressed primarily in ceramic and plaster, are figurative but incorporate found natural objects such as vines, driftwood, bones, and twine. She received her BFA from Oklahoma State University in 1997.
