Lori Roll

Lori Roll is an Oklahoma artist with a background in photography, jewelry and art. She currently works in cold wax and oil, encaustic wax, multimedia sketchbooks and collage. Her loose graphic style evokes her love of nature, interior and exterior landscapes, mark making and bold color to create works evoking memories experienced and imagined. She enjoys the freedom of abstract expression in her inventive works which employ light, shadow, color and personal language in architectural layers.

Lori is a graduate of the University of Tulsa in communications, where she studied photography. She augments her background in art and design by attending creative workshops with recognized artists as inspiration for growth and artistic evolution. In addition, she teaches group and individual workshops with a passion for helping artists learn more about personal expression, color, composition and the rich fluidity of cold and hot wax mediums and sketchbooks. Her work is found in galleries and private collections across the country. She was selected as one of nine Oklahoma artists to exhibit and sell her work at THE Art Auction of the Oklahoma A+ Schools Institute at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was invited in 2022 to have a one-woman show at the iconic Price Tower Art Center in Bartlesville, the only Frank Lloyd Wright skyscraper in the world. She exhibits in juried solo and group shows locally and across the country.
