Don Wood

Having taught art classes for 35 years ranging from elementary through college in areas including painting, printmaking, jewelry, and fiber art, my retirement has allowed me time to work on personal art pieces. My work reflects a long-held pursuit of creating beauty which I find missing in a lot of contemporary pieces. Previous pieces are included in the collections that range from St. John's hospital, the Ascension Luthern Church, 1st Methodist, the Hardisty building, Oral Robert University, Southwestern State University, University of Tulsa, and numerous private collections throughout Oklahoma. My work was also included in the National Exhibition "Miniature Fiber Arts'' which opened in the Armory of the Arts in Santa Fe and traveled to nine other galleries in the United States. It was also included in the 4th International Exhibition of Miniature Textiles which opened in London and traveled to galleries around the globe.
