TAC Member Highlight: Dean Wyatt
The Oklahoma landscape continues to influence his work, especially the vast skies and dramatic sunsets that filled his upbringing. “I grew up in a small town in southwestern Oklahoma where you have big skies, rolling plains, and amazing sunsets,” Wyatt shares. “I love a good sunset - there’s something captivating about that transition, the colors – I try to memorize every moment.” These moments of natural transition deeply inform the palette and energy of his paintings.

The Professional and Other Works
Inspired by her father’s sharp style and presence, Tulsa-based artist Charisa Dené Jacobs explores the power and complexity of Black male identity through professional dress in her solo exhibit, The Professional and Other Works. Opening September 5 at the Tulsa Artists’ Coalition gallery, the show features life-sized oil portraits of imagined Black men dressed in timeless suits and western wear—each piece a statement on pride, presence, and personal expression.
