This exhibition, Through the Window, presents a collection of watercolor paintings by Whit Todd, a Tulsa artist and architect. Todd's works explore the themes of doorways and windows as both physical structures and metaphorical gateways to experience and interpretation.

Influenced by the likes of Andrew Wyeth and local artists Bill Hart and George Kountoupis, Todd's paintings capture the details and emotional resonance of these architectural elements. Doors, as traditional means of entry, represent the threshold between the exterior and interior worlds. Windows, on the other hand, offer a more subtle and framed perspective, inviting viewers to contemplate the interplay between the seen and unseen.

Through his masterful use of watercolor, Todd evokes the ephemeral nature of light and shadow as they dance across these architectural features. His paintings invite us to consider the ways in which doors and windows can shape our understanding of space, time, and the world around us.
