Born into a family of artists and art enthusiasts, art has always meant focus and passion for Taylor Young. His current work is a confluence of realistic, spare, modern symbolism. Inspired by the human form and nature, Young creates images based on life experience and memories, creating iconographic images in a divine light. He uses geometric elements to juxtapose with the natural lines of the human form or vegetation – skulls, mollusks, flowers. His process organically developed through an amalgamation of training and experience. The overall objective of his work is to create a focused meditative experience that explores life, nature, and the divine.
